Emma
Forman is a singer songwriter based in Scotland. Previously she has performed with various bands including: The Awkwards (guitar), Piston Broke(bass)
and The Koshkas (bass). However, she is perhaps best known as the former frontwoman of Bad Karma (guitar and vocals), Those
Valentinos, and Baby Karma. These days she can be found gigging as a soloist. Occassionally she performs in
a duo alongside Dusty Valentino. She is also currently a member of pop punk band Medusa's Curse and pop rock
band The Emma Forman Band.On the 9th December 2001 Emma performed her first solo acoustic gig, and has since
gone on to carve out a reputation for herself as a fine and much in demand singer songwriter. She has been compared with artists
like PJ Harvey, Suzanne Vega and Harriet Wheeler from The Sundays. Her first solo demo was recorded by Chris Thomson from
The Bathers (formerly Love and money) in 2001, and as a result she has gone on to support various
artists including: Astrid Williamson, Duke Special, Fish, Frank Turner, James Grant, Midge Ure, Rose
Kemp, The Wrigley Sisters and many more. In 2007 and 2008 Emma was a finalist in South West Sound Live. Her band Medusa's Curse
appeared on Scott Mill's Upstaged on BBC 3 in 2008, and they recently supported The Hussy's in King Tut's
Wah Wah Hut, and supported Girlsplayboys in 2009. Emma's debut solo album called Chocolate and Red Wine
was released in 2007. In December 2008 Emma played trumpet in the extended
version of ROCKETFOX at The Carling Academy Glasgow.
